The book was compiled on the basis of an exhibition of the same name, and incorporates a large number of works from Tarbeklaas, though not the complete breadth of its output. The activities and prolific products of the enterprise are introduced by the essays, which detail the history, production capabilities and artists who worked there. The album part of the book presents the most important part of the Tarbeklaas catalogue. It is presented chronologically, telling a story of the works and artists over a timeline.
